Horsemanship Series
Horsemanship 101- an in-depth class with lecture and hands on application using the Horses help Herd. Curriculum is adapted from the Horsemanship Checklist for PATH International Registered Instructors.
Class Fee: $45This class covers a range of topics including:
- History of the horse
- Biology/anatomy/behavior
- Breeds and disciplines
- Movement of the horse
- Routine horse health care
- Feeding
- Safe handling and ground work
Horsemanship 102- Continuation of Horsemanship 101 and will cover the remainder of the Horsemanship Checklist for Registered Instructors. Prerequisite of Horsemanship 101 or equivalent
. Class Fee: $55
This class covers a range of topics including:
- Conformation
- Tack
- Lungeing/round pen
- Blemishes/unsoundness
- Routine horse heath care cont.
- Movement of the horse cont.
- Exercising a horse
Class Dates: 12/31, 1/7 and 1/8 from 12:30-4pm
