Registered Level Instructor Workshop and Certification's are held twice a year at Horses Help. Registration link is on our home page when available.

The PATH to becoming certified:

  • Join PATH Intl. and apply to become an instructor
  • Complete online CAT Course
  • Complete online Instructor Course
  • FA/CPR certification
  • Horsemanship checklist
  • If student teaching at Horses Help - attend the HH Instructor Prep Course
  • Receive Instructor in Training letter from PATH Intl
  • Begin student teaching
    •  25 hours of student-teaching group lessons
  • Attend a PATH Int'l Registered Workshop
    • 2.5 days of in-depth presentations on therapeutic riding topics
  • Attend a PATH Int'l Certification
    • 1.5 days of preparation and testing
    • Complete Phase Two paperwork
      • Personal reference
      • Professional reference
      • Registration and liability releases
      • Essay question
      • Instructor resume
    • Riding exam
    • Teaching exam - 2 students for 20 minutes
