Jr. Equine Vet
Jr. Equine Vet is perfect for the child who has an interest in learning about the in-depth world of equine health and care. This program will cover:
- Safety around equines
- Safe horse handling
- Equine Anatomy & Physiology
- Basic horse care
- Horsemanship
- Basic horse first aid
- Equine vital signs
- Herd behavior
- Field trip to local vet clinic with state of the art equipment
- And much more….
Each Jr. Vet will get their own ‘Jr. Vet Kit’ that they will use on their horse during various hands-on activities. Participants will also have a chance to swim in the pool at the end of each day to cool off. Pool time supervised by certified staff members.
2013 Program Dates:
July8-12: Ages 12-17
July 29-August2: Ages 7-11
Price: $450*
Program runs Monday-Friday from 7:30am-4:30pm. Price includes program shirt, Jr. Vet Kit, and healthy snacks.
*Program curriculum for typical youth ages 7-11 years will be based upon standard 2nd-6th grade material. Program curriculum for typical youth ages 12-17 years will be based upon standard 7th-12th grade material.
Jr. Equine Vet developed and taught by PATH Intl. Certified Instructor. Special presentations by AZ licensed Veterinarians.
