Therapeutic Riding Instructor Training (TRIT) Program

Horses Help prides itself in providing quality Therapeutic Riding Instructor Training (TRIT) to those seeking to obtain their PATH International Registered Instructor Certification. Successful completion of the Horses Help TRIT Program will result in 25+ supervised teaching hours that are required by PATH to apply for Registered Instructor Certification.

Horses Help has very limited space in the TRIT Program and sets high standards for all those going through training. Our Certified Instructors and experienced Staff invest countless hours in each TRIT and we strive to provide quality, one-on-one instruction to each TRIT. The program fee covers all of your training time at Horses Help whether it takes you 6 months or a couple of years.

Program Fee: $250 ($50 Application Fee will be put towards Program Fee)

Program Length– expect 6 months -1 year of commitment*

  • The time it takes to complete the TRIT program varies by individual as each person entering the training program will have various levels of experience with equines, teaching, volunteer management, etc. Horses Help believes that it is important to take our time training individuals so that they are fully prepared to not only pass the PATH Intl. Registered Certification but to also be competent, safe instructors that are able to handle various classes and situations.
