Do you know it costs approximately $80 to “put one rider in the saddle”? Horses Help automatically offsets over 50% of the cost. On average, a participant pays $35/class. All Horses Help clients are on partial scholarships and additional assistance is given for financial hardship, active or retired military and their families, along with qualifying First Responders.
Below is a graphic of all that goes into offering riding or ground handling classes for special needs youth and adults. It requires a community of helpers from directors, instructors, volunteers and special horses to put a participant up in the saddle or to interact with a horse in other aspects. No participant pays the full amount to attend classes. Partial costs are supported by fund raising, grant writing and generous donations from community supporters, like you.
