Horses Help is proud to once again be part of the 38th Annual Phoenix JC Comancheros Pony Express Ride, taking place this year on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 6:00 AM. As part of this historic reenactment, a Horses Help rider will carry the mail on horseback to the organization's main gate, where it will be passed off to the next rider in the relay.
The Phoenix JC Comancheros host this annual Pony Express reenactment, carrying mail on horseback from Cave Creek to Prescott, Arizona in a tradition that has now spanned nearly four decades. Horses Help has been honored to participate in this event for about 17 years, helping to bring history to life while supporting a meaningful cause.
This cherished event honors the legacy of the Pony Express while benefiting Horses Help, a nonprofit providing equine assisted programs and services for adults and children with cognitive or physical disabilities, at-risk youth, trauma survivors, first responders, and veterans. The…
