This session offers a practical and compassionate overview of autism, including communication, sensory processing, behavior, and regulation. Attendees will gain meaningful insight into how autistic individuals experience the world, along with strategies to better support them in educational and community settings.

About Heidi Lee:
Heidi Lee has many roles, she is a Mother, Friend, Professional, Teacher, Daughter, Sister and Aunt. She has worked in both public and private school settings for over 27 years. Heidi has taught special education in a variety of settings with an even wider variety of differently abled students. She is a mother of 4 sons, two of whom have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Supporting students, families and teachers throughout her career has given her an especially powerful lens on what we can do to create environments where differently abled students…
