Welcome Interns!
My name is Chris Henwood and I’m an incoming Master of Social Work Intern for Horses Help. I’m a first-year graduate student at ASU. I grew up in Seattle before moving to Arizona as a teenager where I finished high school and attended NAU for Environmental Sciences. Following college, I worked in gardens, as an English Teacher, and worked as a Mentor for adolescent and adult males. Through this experience and my own healing practices I decided to seek further education in working with people in the mental health field. In my free time I enjoy being outdoors, reading, listening to music, cooking, and traveling. I’m excited to begin working at Horses Help with the diverse populations we serve and the many opportunities for engaging with clients and the community. I look forward to meeting everyone that makes Horses Help work and am excited to be a part of a team that facilitates positive experiences, growth, and healing.
Hi, my name is Mary Lange. I’m from Arizona, and just moved back after living in Southeast Idaho for the past five years. I’m excited to work with Horses Help during my internship at ASU while I work on getting my master’s in social work. I’m looking forward to learning about the diverse opportunities and groups that I will be able to work with during my time here. I eventually want to get my LCSW and counsel. I want to specialize in trauma as well as work with domestic violence survivors.
