Nancy was introduced to Horses Help via a corporate volunteer day with her employer The Henkel Corporation and officially joined Horses Help as a program volunteer when she left her career as a Financial Controller in 2016. She fought back tears on her first day when she witnessed the joy a horse could provide a client and she was hooked!

After experiencing the impact that Horses Help services provides, Nancy knew she wanted to make this her new career. Nancy pursued and achieved her PATH certification as an Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning where she was involved in expanding Horses Help’s services to the at-risk members of the community.

Nancy decided that wasn’t enough and asked Shelly Wright, the Program and Equine Director, to become her mentor. In June of 2022, Nancy also obtained her PATH Therapeutic Riding Instructor certification. She looks forward to expanding her role at Horses Help and impacting the lives of more participants.

Nancy is a huge volunteer advocate and reminds everyone that EVERY volunteer has an important role. The programs could not happen without the wonderful and dedicated volunteers that support the Horses Help mission.

Thank you Nancy for your hard work and dedication to Horses Help!
